Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between your workshop and Shrayan Venugopal t/a AutoVin, ABN 55 879 826 155 ("AutoVin", "we", "us").

The service

AutoVin is garage management software: job cards, estimates, invoices, parts and inventory, plus customer status updates sent on your behalf over WhatsApp and email. By creating an account and using AutoVin you agree to these terms.

Your account

• The person who creates the account must be authorised to act for the workshop.
• Provide accurate business and contact details when signing up.
• Keep login credentials safe. You are responsible for activity under your account, including what your staff do with the access you give them.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your data

The records you enter into AutoVin belong to you. You give us the limited right to host and process them so we can run the service, as described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to enter your customers' personal information into AutoVin. You are also responsible for keeping copies of any documents you are legally required to retain, such as tax invoices.

WhatsApp messaging

• You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account and messages are sent from your own business number. Meta's WhatsApp Business terms and messaging policies apply to your use of it.
• You must have your customers' consent before sending them WhatsApp updates. AutoVin records consent per vehicle and will not send to customers who have opted out.
• Messaging through AutoVin is for transactional workshop updates using approved templates. It must not be used for spam or unsolicited marketing. We may suspend messaging that breaches these rules or Meta's policies.

Acceptable use

Use AutoVin only for lawful workshop business. Do not attempt to access other garages' data or to probe or disrupt the service. Do not resell access without our written agreement.

Fees

Fees, where they apply, are as agreed with you in writing. We will give you reasonable notice before any change to what you pay.

Availability

We work to keep AutoVin available and we take regular backups, but the service is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance and we may change features over time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business. Our total liability for claims connected to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under Australian law that cannot be excluded, including the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using AutoVin and ask us to delete your account at any time. The data deletion instructions cover how. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms and will give notice where reasonable. On closure, your data is deleted as described in those instructions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top and flag material changes in the application or by email. Continuing to use AutoVin after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of New South Wales.
